Event Organizer right

Hi @Aafi, just a question, does this right come with Autopatrol? Reason for me asking this, If yes, then it better be added at the COM:RFR#Autopatrol tmbox. In case it doesn't, I think it should atleast be considered. Thank you. Shaan Sengupta^Talk 08:54, 19 September 2025 (UTC)

Hi @Shaan Sengupta, the right doesn't include autopatrol rights. The only rights bundled in the pack are those explained at COM:Event organizers. Autopatrol on Commons is much more serious than it is anywhere else — and since the rights has everything to do with Events namespace, bundling autopatrol with it seems very counterproductive. Oh no! You have absolutely not missed anything but I have. Reason for me suggesting for it (merging AP) to be considered (not yet proposing) is bcoz some of the things listed in Seeking the rights section like active user with 500 recent edits, more or less resembles minimum rough requirement for autopatrol. I know AP's scope here on Commons is too wide than on other projects but if a user has received a Wikimedia grant for an event or is a volunteer or staff member of a Wikimedia affiliate, they can be trusted with AP. This would ease the work for patrollers. Again this is just me saying what I think. I maybe wrong as I am yet to read the whole discussion and the background story of this right. @Shaan Sengupta, in this case, and as it is followed everywhere, a right-granting admin does use their discretion to grant autopatrol, if they see the potentional in the requesting user. _signed, Aafi ^(talk) 10:06, 19 September 2025 (UTC)

Activating translation tags

Hi Aafi,

If you have time, could you please activate the translation-tags in Commons:Wiki Loves Monuments 2025 in Aruba? I've tried to prepare the page for you, but there are some tables in the landing page and I wasn't completely sure what would be the best way to do that. @Ciell: Its been a long since I heard from you - I am hoping that you're doing all well. This page is all settled  now. Thanks Aafi, you're the best! I studied translation tags for a bit in July, and considered to apply for the rights myself, but then life got in the way. So thank you for your availability on such a short term!

You are correct about the phone numbers, and I think they are work numbers, but I'll check with them to be sure.

Did you also notice that the svg's next to steps 1-5 in the right column are so small? I've been trying to get them to a visible size, and looked at different pages to see what goes wrong on this page, but I can't figure it out. Any ideas? Ciell (talk) 15:44, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
